Samaritan's Purse: Operation Christmas Child


Throughout the year, but especially at this time of year, it is important to think others, particularly those children who are less fortunate than we are. Therefore, our class has decided to participate in the Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child. We are collecting items to fill shoe-box size boxes to send to children around the world who are in need. We have several boxes to fill by November 15th. Below is a list of “Gift Suggestions”:

School supplies: pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc.

Toys: small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch a Sketch toys that light up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky, etc.

Hygiene items: toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc.

Other: hard candy and lollipops, mints, gum, (please place all candy in a Ziploc bag), T-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries)

DO NOT INCLUDE: used or damaged items, war-related items, such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolates or food; out of date candy, liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snowglobes or glass containers, aerosol cans

Participating in this opportunity is completely voluntary. We appreciate any help and support that you can give.
